UTC Fuel Cells

A phosphoric acid fuel cell, built by UTC Fuel Cells, has been submitted for verification by the GHG Center, in partnership with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) (Albany, NY). A 200 kW fuel cell using renewable anaerobic digester gas from a waste water treatment plant will be verified. The waste heat will be used in the digesters. The verification testing took place at a waste water treatment plant in Brooklyn, NY.
