Martin Machinery Reciprocating Engine CHPMartin-Machinery's
internal combustion engine CHP system was submitted by The Colorado Governors Office of
Energy Management and Conservation (Denver, CO) for verification by the GHG Center. The
reciprocating engine-based system will use renewable biogas fuel generated from an
innovative and low-emission swine waste management technology, located at Colorado Pork,
LLC (Lamar, CO). Electricity from the Martin-Machinery built 75 kW reciprocating engine
will be used on-site, as will the heat generated from a stack gas heat recovery unit.
Testing verified energy efficiency, emissions, and power quality performance.
