Aisin Seiki Natural Gas Fired Engine Cogeneration Unit

Aisin Seiki manufactures a small natural gas fueled engine driven generator from which excess heat is recovered in the form of hot water for on-site use. By providing both hot water and power on-site, the marginal cost of power generation is substantially reduced. Aisin Seiki claims that this technology will provide improved security of electricity supply, reduced cost of energy, improved resource stewardship, and reduced greenhouse and other emissions. The GHG Center is currently in the process of verifying this technology.
